Fairground Frights 2025
Get ready to scream! By popular demand, Fairground Frights is returning to Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach for another year of terrifying thrills and spooky spectacles. Prepare for an evening of unlimited rides, live entertainment, and five horrifying scare attractions designed to test your nerve.
Please Note: Fun Cards and season passes are not valid for this event. Season pass holders are entitled to half price wristbands – available from the Sales kiosk on the night you visit. Disabled & Carer wristbands are priced at £22.50, however these cannot be purchased online as proof of eligibility must be verified at the point of sale.
The Ultimate Scare Experience
This year, fear lurks around every corner. Our park will be overrun with terrifying scare actors, ensuring a frighteningly good time for all our guests. You’ll encounter them in several ways:
- Roaming Scares: Spontaneous scares can happen anywhere as actors roam the park grounds.
- Dancing Scares: This year we are introducing dancing actors to the experience.
- Ride Frights: Some of our rides will have scare actors positioned within them, enhancing the thrill while you’re on board or waiting in line.
- Maze Terrors: Inside our scare mazes, actors will interact closely with you, bringing the horrifying themed environments to life.
Conquer our scare attractions
Get ready for a night of frights and fun! Our five immersive scare attractions await, alongside all your beloved rides.
- Inhumane: Following its terrifying debut in 2024, our newest maze, Inhumane, is back. Enter the abandoned laboratory and come face-to-face with a sinister doctor’s most disturbing experiments. It was a guest highlight last year and continues to deliver chills.
- South Beach Institute: A once-bustling psychiatric hospital is now filled with the restless spirits of its former patients. As you explore the dimly lit corridors and decrepit rooms, whispers and unsettling shadows will challenge your courage. Will you escape the supernatural grip, or become part of its chilling legend?
- Not So Fun Factory: A gang of devious Clowns has invaded the Fun Factory, scaring customers and taunting the brave who dare to enter. Once their victims are vulnerable, the Clowns manipulate their minds, convincing them they belong within the attraction. Soon, they plan to create an army of killer Clowns for total domination of the Pleasure Beach.
- Haunted Hotel: Step into the Haunted Hotel, a place where time stands still and shadows linger. The air is heavy with whispers of long-lost guests, while every creaking floorboard echoes like a warning. Wander through dusty corridors lined with eerie portraits that seem to watch your every move, each one telling a chilling story of the tragedies that unfolded within these walls. Will you dare to uncover the hotel’s darkest secrets or will the vengeful spirits ensure you never check out?
- Snails and Scary Tales: Our loyal Snails have been temporarily hypnotised by an evil spirit, veering dangerously off their usual course. They’ve entered a parallel universe where beloved childhood fairytales have transformed into terrifying nightmares, with no happy endings in sight. Strap in and pray your Snail snaps out of its trance before it’s too late!
Electrifying Live Music
After the success of their Plague Doctors stage in 2024, we are thrilled to welcome back Club Tropico! They will be returning with a brand-new themed stage, promising a fresh and incredible atmosphere for our guests. We also have more exciting special guests lined up for this year’s event, who will be announced in the lead-up to Halloween.

Dates: The event runs for six nights from Saturday, 25th October to Friday, 31st October. Please note, there will be no Fairground Frights event on Monday, 27th October.

Fairground Frights 2023
In 2023 we witnessed ‘5 Nights of Fear’ and introduced our brand new walk through attraction ‘The South Beach Institute’ a Psychiatric Ward from 1909 with escaped victims on the loose and paranormal activities! As well as ‘The Workshop’ and ‘Not So Fun Factory’ we had ‘Snails and Scary Tales’ and ‘The Haunted Hotel’ return with some new additional characters to increase the fear factor!
Let’s not forget the 15 roamers we had and the new introduction of our ‘Oldies’ who were very well received increasing our overall actors team to a total of 41 people – the most we have ever had for the event!
We teamed up yet again with Club Tropico Music, who introduced ‘The Day of The Dead Stage’ which created an electric atmosphere on the park and the final night saw some amazing Fireworks light up the sky.
Fairground Frights 2022
There were two walk through scare mazes in 2022. A completely revamped “Workshop” and major changes in the “Not So Fun Factory”.
As well as the mazes, two of our rides featured scare actors. Snails and Scary Tales returned for 2022, as well as the Haunted Hotel. Both rides featured new characters, never seen before.
Our roaming actors have always been a huge strength of the event and 2022 was no different. We had a team of 15 roaming characters and some new roles which we thrilled customers.
We teamed up with the legendary, Club Tropico Music, to provide the best Halloween tunes.
Halloween drinks and cocktails were available from both of our bars, The Pleasure Beach Inn and the Carousel Bar.
